Drillin' Some Holes!

Hey everybody! I'm happy to say that everything is still going according to plan..so far! (I should knock on wood or something!) Our lumber was delivered at 4:00, right on time! Thanks to our buddy Mark and of course Kent's..heh heh. Here's a shot of the lumber and bags of concrete..Darcy rented quite the weapon to drill the post holes with..take a look at this bad boy..We know Scott is planning to leave tomorrow for a peaceful week's vacation at the camp. That's why he got sucked in to helping out tonight...thanks Scott! It's the suckiest job of all, but somebody's gotta do it!
Another shot of them drilling away..talk about slowing down traffic on the corner! Everybody was trying to see what the hell they were up to..it was too funny. Just makes me want that fence even more!
These are the holes on one side, all finished! This side didn't take too long, the other side is another story! They're still out there trying to dig through bricks at the moment...you'd be surprised at some of the stuff you find that far down in the ground! And "Here Comes Trouble"...heh heh! That shirt was meant for you Mitch!
Well I think that's about it for today's events. Tomorrow we have to set the posts in cement..I actually have to help out with that part, so I'll probably have to rely on Mitch for pictures. Should be quite interesting I'm sure! Later,

Liss

Great work boys, drill them holes. Don't worry Liss, setting the poles is the easy part. Drop'em in, level them and let them dry...It's simple. Even easier when you buy the fast drying concrete. Good luck, can't wait to see more.

Well Matt, I must say that after that day of work it definately wasn't the "easy" part! Mixing wheel-barrow after wheel-barrow of cement was not fun, and then shovelling it in the holes was not much fun either. It took about 5 hours to do the whole thing, thank God Rickey and Cleve came to help us! Otherwise we'd probably still be outside right now (in the rain)..let's hope the rain stops and it dries before tomorrow. I want to build that fence! I took a bunch of pics from today, I'll try to post tomorrow if I get the chance. Later!
