Happy Father's Day!
I'll start out by saying "Happy Father's Day" to all the Dad's out there...especially my Dad of course! So, you're probably all wondering why I've started yet another blog..the answer is really quite simple. "Life at the Camp"..is just that..there's lots of other things going on that I'd like to post about, but a lot of the time they aren't relevant to camp life. Believe it or not, we do have a life besides the camp...and we also have friends that are having babies, getting married and all that jazz! These are all things that I'd like to post about...so there you have it!
Anyway, today is Father's Day...and it's a beautiful day! 32 degrees outside, with a nice breeze blowing, and it's not humid and muggy! We've had a really nice weekend, and we deserve it after almost 2 straight weeks of rain. I got to see my Dad this morning; he, my brother Nick and my husband Darcy spent their morning moving the new appliances that Dad bought (a stove and fridge I think). After that, Darcy took off to spend his day fishing in a canoe at the lake, (with Chris-a friend of ours). I can't think of a better way for Darcy to spend his day, it's what he loves best, except for hunting of course!
My son Mitchell and his friend Trenton are upstairs practicing their electric guitars..they are trying to start a band. Lots of racket coming from his room...but they are getting better at it! I'm going to relax for the rest of the day...or maybe not, Kim just arrived. Gotta go and make some plans with her..she's pet-sitting for us next week while we are gone to Ottawa to visit my brother Matt and his fiancee Karine. Later folks! Liss

Hey Liss,
I think it's great that you started your own blog. Now I can keep up with everything you do, just like you do with me. See you soon.

Hey Liss,
Are you guys taking Mom's car for the trip? How close is she to getting her new car?

I posted an answer..but it didn't show up for some reason..so I'll try again. We're taking Nick's Cavalier, and Mom is getting her new car today, a Chevy Optra Wagon.

Optra Wagon eh, that's great. Not a bad car. I thought it would be out of her price range, but nice choice. Have fun driving Nicks car!!
Ps, on Saturday night were going to have a party at the house for your arrival. Should be fun, so be ready for it.

I can't show you right now, maybe halfway through your vacation.
Actually, I feel I may have gotten you all pumped up for something, that in the end you might not find so fantastic. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
