A Visit From Coll!

Well it's another beautiful day here..so far. I think they are calling for some showers later on today. We can't complain, it's been nice for so many days...summer is finally here. Last night (Monday), we got a visit from my friend Colleen, and her son Daniel, who is 6 months old. They are home for a couple of days, they just got back from a family vacation to Colleen's brother's house in Oshawa, Ontario. It was Daniel's very first airpline trip..and he handled it like a pro! They had a great trip...and now they are getting ready to set off again to PEI for the upcoming weekend. They are renting a cottage, and making the trek with Coll's husband (Danny)'s family. They should have a great time, hopefully the weather will continue to be nice for them. They leave the same day that we leave for Ottawa, so it was nice to get a visit in between.

Just as I was getting ready to take some pics of Daniel, Darcy was in the process of leaving the driveway for fishing..and of course he took the camera with him. So luckily, Coll recently sent some new pics of Daniel, from June 16th, so I will post those. The pic of Coll and Daniel together is a bit older, but I had no newer ones of the two of them together. Isn't he a cutie pie?

Well, this morning is really flying by...I should go get ready for work. That's all for now, later!

Happy Father's Day!

I'll start out by saying "Happy Father's Day" to all the Dad's out there...especially my Dad of course! So, you're probably all wondering why I've started yet another blog..the answer is really quite simple. "Life at the Camp"..is just that..there's lots of other things going on that I'd like to post about, but a lot of the time they aren't relevant to camp life. Believe it or not, we do have a life besides the camp...and we also have friends that are having babies, getting married and all that jazz! These are all things that I'd like to post about...so there you have it!

Anyway, today is Father's Day...and it's a beautiful day! 32 degrees outside, with a nice breeze blowing, and it's not humid and muggy! We've had a really nice weekend, and we deserve it after almost 2 straight weeks of rain. I got to see my Dad this morning; he, my brother Nick and my husband Darcy spent their morning moving the new appliances that Dad bought (a stove and fridge I think). After that, Darcy took off to spend his day fishing in a canoe at the lake, (with Chris-a friend of ours). I can't think of a better way for Darcy to spend his day, it's what he loves best, except for hunting of course!

My son Mitchell and his friend Trenton are upstairs practicing their electric guitars..they are trying to start a band. Lots of racket coming from his room...but they are getting better at it! I'm going to relax for the rest of the day...or maybe not, Kim just arrived. Gotta go and make some plans with her..she's pet-sitting for us next week while we are gone to Ottawa to visit my brother Matt and his fiancee Karine. Later folks! Liss
